No, Assista works with plain English. Simply type your request naturally, such as “Explain the Piecewise function” or “Change the background color,” and it will respond directlyinstantly.

Yes, it can modify settings, update UI elements, generate descriptions, and even create functions upon request. By reducing manual input, Assista allows you to focus on model refinement instead of tedious adjustments.

Assista pulls directly from Analytica’s documentation and understands your model’s structure, ensuring relevant and context-aware suggestions. Llike any large language model, it is often surprisingly helpful but it also makes mistakes. You  should always verify critical outputs.

No, Assista needs an internet connection to access AI-powered assistance on a Lumina server which in turn may query OpenAI (or other large language models).

Assista processes user queries by accessing relevant parts of the model but does not transfer the entire model to the server. However, portions of the model and the full chat history are sent to the Assista server and logged for quality improvement. Lumina takes care to protect proprietary information. While we may use logged data to refine Assista and may incorporate some queries into our internal eval sets, we are very careful to not include proprietary content in training datasets. This same data is also transmitted to OpenAI’s API, whose guidelines state that its API does not use submitted data for training. All communication is encrypted to ensure security.

    Free Analytica has no time limit. The only constraint is it won’t let you create more than 100 variables or other objects. But your model can be quite substantial since each variable can be a multidimensional array. It also lets you explore, change inputs, and run existing models of any size (excluding features unique to the Enterprise or Optimizer editions).
